LOL i CS, czyli jak poznać prawdziwego gracza? / LOL and CS, how to know a real gamer?

Jasiek powoli zbliża się do końca radioterapii. To już piąty, przedostatni tydzień. Cieszymy się, ale też zastanawiamy co dalej? W zeszły czwartek, gdy się żegnaliśmy z Jasiem w szpitalu, akurat zaczęły mu wypadać włosy. Mimo, że nie przyjmuje teraz żadnej chemioterapii to efekt utraty włosów jest również typowy dla pacjentów w trakcie naświetlań, zwłaszcza w miejscach gdzie skierowana jest wiązka promieni. Jasiek był tym faktem podłamany, ale na szczęście włosy odrosną jak tylko skóra za uszami dojdzie do siebie.

Humor jednak poprawił mu się od razu gdy rodzice zaproponowali, że na weekend zabierają go do domu do Zielonej Góry. Będzie mógł wyściskać babcię, z którą nie widzieli się od miesiąca, pobawić się z jamnikiem Tytusem i wygłaskać kocicę Bazylię, na którą jest co prawda uczulony, ale co tam 😉

No, ale najważniejsze, że spotka się ze swoimi przyjaciółmi i będą grać w CSa (Counter Strike’a). Gry komputerowe to obok szermierki druga wielka pasja Jaśka. Chociaż mówi, że nie pamięta swojej pierwszej gry, to dobrze pamięta z kim tę pasję od początku rozwijał. Z Karolem znają się już od 11 lat! Babcia Karola mieszka na przeciwko naszych rodziców i co wakacje Karol przyjeżdża do niej w odwiedziny. Właściwie to chyba głównie przyjeżdża do Jaśka, bo chłopaki spędzają niemal każdy dzień razem. Noce też, bo raz Karol śpi u Jasia albo Jasiek u Karola. Jasiu mówi, że jak mieli po 6 lat to grali razem w pierwszą część Lego Batman a potem  Let's fish, grę o łowieniu ryb.

Zanim Jasiek poszedł do szkoły, dostał Play Station 2, swoją pierwszą konsolę. Jeszcze ja pamiętam, że razem z nim grałam w Shreka. Ale był tam też Władca Pierścieni, Narnia, Ben Ten i Tekken 2 a także Battlefront II Star Wars. Na Pierwszą Komunię Jasiek dostał w końcu swój komputer. A wraz z nim grę: Lego Marvel Super Heroes od Natalii. Niedługo potem Michał kupił mu Goat Simulator i Minecrafta. Minecraft to przez parę dobrych lat była Jasia ulubiona gra. Jak wirtualne lego. Jak pierwszy raz Jasiek odwiedził mnie w Szwecji to dostał ode mnie plakat Minecrafta i chyba wtedy wysunęłam się na prowadzenie w rankingu najlepszych sióstr na świecie :D Do tego mój mąż pracuje w branży gier i dla Jaśka to wymarzony szwagier. Od niedawna Tor ma swoje własne studio i Jaś dostał od niego firmową koszulkę z logiem, którą ubrał specjalnie gdy kręcono odcinek Alarmu, żeby zrobić Torowi reklamę :D!

Parę lat temu Jasiek wymienił swoje PS2 na PS3 a starą konsolę oddał Frankowi. Brat Franka, Tomek odkrył tam właśnie grę Battlefront II i że można w nią grać na komputerze online. Od tamtego czasu chłopaki grali razem, każdy na swoim komputerze.  Potem zaczęli grać w Counter Strike’a a potem w LOL ( Leage of Legends). Chłopaki teraz grają na 6 komputerów, a na ich sesjach nie może zabraknąć dobrej pizzy, nachosów i masy coli- przecież tym żywią się prawdziwi gracze :D

Jak tylko nadarzyła się okazja, aby rodzice pojechali sami do domu to Jaś został w Warszawie i cały weekend grał ze szwagrem i jego kuzynem w Herosy (czyli Heroes of Might & Magic III). 

Prawda jest taka, że gdyby nie komputer, konsole i gry, pobyt Jasia w szpitalu byłby o wiele cięższy. A tak co wieczór, gdy inne dzieci już śpią Jaś może online pograć ze swoimi przyjaciółmi w domu. Praiwe każdego dnia po naświetlaniach a wcześniej po chemioterapii Jasiek spedzał u Natalii na kanapie w coś grając. Wyczerpany, widząc podwójnie na jedno oko, przechodził kokejne misje w Horizon. Dzięki tej grze polubił RPG. Ode mnie niedawno dostał grę Overwatch, w którą wczesniej grał na komputerze kolegi podczas zawodów szermierki, między walkami :D

Niestety ostatnio okazało się, że Jasia komputer to już niezły staruszek i teraz wszyscy myślimy co by tu zrobić żeby go wymienić na lepszy model. Marzy mu się taki profesjonalny komputer dla graczy Razer Blade Pro albo nawet lepszy (ja się niestety nie znam ☹). Przed Jasiem niedługo miesiąc odpoczynku w domu. Chłopaki już na niego czekają i z tego co wiem to grafik już mają ustalony: kto u kogo gra, kiedy i w co? :D

Jasius radiotherapy is slowly coming to an end. It’s 5^th, second last week. We are happy, but also frightened, what should we do next? Last Thursday, when we were saying our goodbyes at the hospital, his hair started falling out. Even though he is off chemotherapy meds now the hair loss effect is also typical for patients that receive radiation, especially in those places where the ray has contact with the skin. Jasiu was really depressed because of that, but luckily the hair is most likely to grow as soon as the skin on his head will heal.

But his mood got better immediately after our parents said they will take him home to Zielona Gora for the entire weekend. He was able to hug grandmother that he haven’t seen for the past month, our sausage dog Tytus and cuddle with Bazylia, the cat (that he is allergic to, but whatever).

But the most important is that he will meet his friends and play Counter Strike!

Computer games are, next to fencing, Jasius big passion. Although he says he doesn’t remember the first one he played, he knows very well with whom he developed his passion. He knows Karol since he was 2 years old! His grandmother leaves just across the road from our parents house, and Karol is visiting her every summer. Or mostly he visits Jasiu, because they spend every day together. They spend nights together as well, because it’s never ending sleepover either at ma parents house or Karols grandmother. Jasiu said that when they were 6 years old hey played 1^st part of Lego Batman and then in some game about fishing, online.

Before Jasiu went to 1^st grade he got Play Station 2, his first game console. I remember playing Shrek game with him :D But there were also Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Tekken 2, Ben Ten (Jasiu was obsessed with that character) and Battlefront II Star Wars.

For hist First Communion he got his own computer from Michal and a game from Natalia: Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Not long after he got Goat Simulator and Minecraft and he went crazy with that one :D He played Minecraft for few good years. Even last year when I went to visit my parents he played it a bit with Karol.  I remember that first time when Jasiu visited me here in Swede, I took him to the shopping mall and we got him Minecraft poster. I think I won the contest for the best sister ever back then :D On top of that my husband is working in the video game industry and he is like guru for Jasiu, I don’t think he could ever dream of better brother in law (unless Tor worked on Minecraft :P). Very recently Tor opened his own game studio and gave Jasiu one of their company T-shirts, that Jasiu deliberately wore during shooting of the TV-programme Alarm!, to advertise Tors studio :D!

Some years ago Jasiu changed his PS2 for PS3, and he gave away his old console to a friend, Franek.  Franeks brother, Tomek, discovered that there is this Battlefront game that they can actually play all together on their computers online. Since then guys were having game sessions playing different games like Counter Strike and League of Legends.  They are 6 of them playing on their computers and their sessions doesn’t count without having pizzas, nachos and liters of coke- the real gamer food :D.

As soon as an opportunity presented itself to spend some time without the tender but relentless supervision of the parents, Jaś stayed in Warsaw for the weekend with a plan to dedicate all his available stamina to gaming. The plan was meticulously executed with the help of a brother-in-law and his cousin. Playin’ HoMM III all day long! (Heroes of Might and Magic III, a turn-based strategy released in 1999) 

But the truth is, that if Jasiu didn’t play games, his stay at the hospital would be much worse.  While all the other kids from his room are already asleep, he can still meet his friends only and play. Almost evere day since the radiotherapy began, and earlier after chemotherapy, he is spending time at the sofa at Natalias home, playing something. Extremely exhausted, with double vision, but storming through another mission in Horizon. Thanks to this game he got interested in RPG.  Few weeks ago he got from me another game- Overwatch, that he played for the first time on his friends computer at some fencing competition…in between matches :D

Unfortunately, lately we discovered that his computer is aging and now we all think how to change it for something better. He is dreaming about the real computer for gamers called Razer Blade Pro or even better (too bad I don’t know so much about it). Soon Jasiu will be able to spend the whole month at home, relaxing. His friends are already waiting for him, and as far as I know the schedule is ready: who is playing what, when and where? :D
